HM CURRENT STATUS: Dave is currently playing solo, duo, and trio dates while developing new material. Following an EDM/Folk EP, Honey Miller is working on a new Country/Folk release featuring fresh and reworked originals. Driven by their debut at the 2025 Will McLean Folk Festival, the band is returning to a more organic sound, expanding their lineup, and targeting the 2026 festival circuit. Active collaborators include Loosey Ross, Dallas James, Ron Pirtle, Kevin Kornicki, Jacob Rodrigues, and various local artists. Honey Miller Music has been described as the sound of The Space Coast. An Americana Folk Pop Rock Project from Cocoa Beach Florida. 2002 Songwriting commences with two simple surfing songs. 2005-Time in Cocoa Beach is written by D. Miller. Wins "Best Original Song" at a Local Writers Night first night performed in public..More song writing commences in 2008 2008 MD420 Acoustic trio formed- Mike Adam, Laurent Magniez & Dave Miller. 2009 Basement recordings of original songs began.The real roots of Honey Miller. Dave & Seth Chipman (Violin) meet surfing. 2010 Dave meets Aren Winebrenner (Contra & Electric Bass) Honey Miller becomes an outlet for the original songs by Dave Miller. 2010-Dave, Seth & Aren team up with Jeff Stanton, Ryan Perez, Sammie DeJesus & Curtis Bush to form the Full Band that will eventually release "THE SUN" EP. 2011 the Single "Permanent Wave" was released 2012 The band released "THE SUN" , a live thematic EP. Honey Miller performs throughout Central Florida after giving away thousands of CDs w/ Free music and the band melts down & disbands. 2013-2015- Dave starts performing as a duet w/ Anna Lusk (singer playing local LIVE MUSIC Venues. Slowly a new band is forming that include: Ken Holt, Tom VanDyke,Dave Bitner & Chris Jeffries. The LIVE MUSIC Scene gets old so the decision is made to STOP playing out and create Concert Experiences. 2016 "AMONGST THE BOXES" Album produced by Marvin Parish. Marvin Parish (guitar, vocals), Barry Canfield (drums, percussion, vocals), Anthony Darmana (percussion,mandolin, vocals) & Julie Klein (vocals, keyboards,bass) & Seth Chipman joining Dave Miller, Anna Lusk & Honey Miller- The single "One Face, One Human Race" is recorded. 2016-2019 The band filled performing arts venues. King Center (Black Box) 2 nights SOLD OUT, (Open Mike's ) 2 nights SOLD OUT , Surfside Playhouse (3 Solid Shows) then COVID fractures the band and everyone takes a new direction as bands do. 2020- Dave co-produces G.P.S. Heaven & State of Disunion w/ Jeff Stanton 2022 Dave starts to practice performing solo with Backing Tracks as band management proves to be incredibly difficult.

THE STORY Originally Honey Miller started as a solo acoustic act in 2007, Dave playing small stages around Cocoa Beach. Then Dave began (sometimes accidentally, sometimes with intent) to add musicians and pile up new material and more shows while literally giving away 15,000 Demo CD's of their song "Permanent Wave". For years Honey Miller performed hundreds of shows and festivals throughout Central Florida. Honey Miller was nominated for Brevard Live Magazine's 2011 "Favorite Original Band", They were finalists for Brevard Live/Lou's Blues "2012 Original Music Series". Honey Miller opened for Sonny Landreth (2013) and Marcia Ball (2014) at Ponte Vedra Concert Hall in Jacksonville, Florida thanks to Tib Miller-Flying Saucer Productions. 2016-2021 Honey Miller SOLD OUT The BLACK BOX THEATRE two evenings in a row selling almost 500 tickets. They also SOLD OUT OPEN MIKE's to evenings and filled up the Surfside Playhouse on three separate occasions with our original music with no help from organizers, promoters or producers. Honey Miller music has been used on multiple surf movies, documentaries and videos. Honey Miller continues to morph & march on as the universe dictates. Long live original music!
